Council Grove graduation held Sunday afternoon /00lta . ]Tista )FIClPS bv Ioria Sm#h ALTA VISTA-Karen and Ga- len Smith attended a graduation party for Brady Smith at the home of Brian and Gayle Smith in Topeka Saturday. Brady gradu- ated from Washburn University, magna cure laude, criminal jus- tice. He has been accepted for the Masters of Public Adminis- tration program at Kansas State University. Kristen Hagemen, Manhat- tan, Roger, Angelina, Harris and Virginia Zimmerman attended kindergarten graduation in White City Tuesday evening for Karl Zimmerman. On Saturday they all attended the Flint Hills Tech- nical College graduation in Em- poria for Katrina Zimmerman Brittl Donald Zimmerman spent the wekend iri and around Dallas,- Texas, with Justin Zimmerman and friends. Jean Andres spent the week- end at Greeley, Kansas, with Terry and Shandi Andres and family and attended the cattle sate held at the ranch. Saturday Greg Marlar and Jack Crooks helped Carol Smith building a ramp for Pat when she gets out of the hospital. Gloria Smith visited Lorraine Joy at Council Grove HealthCare Center Sunday afternoon. Linda Clough also stopped by to see Lorraine. The Santa Fe Parish will start Sunday morning worship ser- vices at Council Grove Reservoir on May 27th for the summer. Ser- vices start at 8:30 a.m. at Canning Creek Cove, so if you're tamping or like the dutdoor worship, plan to attend and bring your lawn chairs. Rolling Prairie Senior Center board holds monthly meeting The May meeting of the Roll- ing Prairie Senior Center board was called to order by Lana Al- len with the thought of the d.ay. Board members present were Lana Allen, June Anderson, John Comp, Bob Crable, Judy Herpich, Peggy Stenstrom, and site manager Judi Stewart. The minutes of the April meet- ing were approved as read. The treasurer's report was accepted with a motion by Peggy Sten- strom and seconded by June Anderson. Judi Stewart reported 596 meals served, congregate 436, home deliveries 155, and under 60--5. It was reported that money had been received from the Carolyn Boeh memorial. The board dis- cussed in length the KDOT van situation in Morris County. While our van is in need of rePair, the Council Grove facility has three "vans available. We hope that a fair distribution of the vans can be reached soon. The meeting adjourned at 10:30. Future Ann Bremer, Kylee Lynn Burns, Lee Massie, Cody Lane Murray, Council Grove High School were held Sunday, May 20, in the new gymnasium. Joshua Gant, substitute teach- er and coach at the high school, was the speaker, and the class co- valedictorians, TimothY Frese, Neal Adams, Grant Bachura, and Derron Reddick, delivered messages. Ushers were Lauren Morrow and Cale Buchman. The class motto is: As each of us follows our path in life, we will remember these years. We dreams shine like bright stars against distant-nights. We have grown so much, yet we will grow forever. The class colors are blue and gold, and the flower is the sun- flower.
